JESUS WEPT HOW MANY TIMES????? £20 a ticket and £15 on beer and merchandise.....so an away fan is worth £35. At best, 1,000 is the average away support split across 11 rounds and I am being really generous here, so Toronto, replacing say Wakefield will cost a SL club £35,000. The minimum turnover of a SL club is £4,000,000 so Toronto instead of Widnes is worth less than 1% of a SL clubs turnover.
There are many valid reasons for and against expansion into America, but "AWAY FANS" isn't one of them.
Only 4 clubs have won the cup in the last 10 years, and only 6 clubs in the last 20 years.
St Helens have a 58% win ratio, Wigan 57%.....these are top SL teams. What part of a 42% win ratio are you struggling with? A "Top SL team" wins more games that it loses and that would mean a 51% win ratio.....42 is a lesser number than 51.
It really shouldn't be that hard to admit that your "off the cuff" remark was incorrect, but you insist in continuing to dig yourself in

And Sheffield, Bradford and Halifax have all won the CC more recently than Cas, HKR, Huddersfield, Salford, Widnes and Wakefield with Featherstone having also done so more recently than all those 'super' clubs other than Cas..........

Warrington, Wigan, Leeds, Hull and Catalans have won the CC in the last 10 years. I count that as 5. If you don't want to include Catalans, you'd have to include Saints, so that's all 5.
I also count 7 in 20 years. Add Saints and Bradford to the 5 above. But if you don't want to include Catalans result this year, then you'd have to include Sheffield in 1998 instead.
No idea what point you were trying to make, but thought I'd correct your stats.
Challenge Cup winners Catalan are a top Super League side. They had no half backs and had a dreadful start to the year, hence the skewed percentage figure you keep referring to.
They came 8th out of 12 in the regular season, and are still 8th after losing all 4 games so far in the 8's. How they started the season and why is irrelevant - to be a top side you need to perform throughout the season. They've improved and did well to win the CC, but a top SL side??
Ok, let's go back to 2017 and see if it was just a blip this season. Ah no, they escaped relegation by the skin of their teeth last year.

Save your breath. I tried to engage with Le Bron in an adult fashion and "it' continued to troll, whilst this one refuses to accept facts...no fear though, the ANZAC edition will be stirring from its slumber soon so we will have Joff's input.....

Over the regular season it was 43.3% and over the entire season to date it is 37%.....
Ah but the start of the season doesn't count apparently. Sir Kev spends more time bigging up other teams more than his "own", and to what end? I think we all know the answer.
