Yes, I do have time to attend RL matches and I attend at least one a week. I don't attend Super League matches however and haven't done so since it was extended to 14 teams and a top 8 play-off system which dramatically lowered the intensity across all teams and rendered the regular seasons meaningless.

I'll also be attending a lot of the RLWC matches, in particular those involving the lesser-fancied sides where the fixtures will be populated by real fans of the game. Fiji V Ireland at Rochdale is top of my list. I attended the Semi Final Qualifier between the same two sides at the RLWC in 2008 in Robina. I'll be giving the England games as big a swerve as possible. Plastic team and plastic brand supported in the main by plastic SL fans.

So, whilst you've no interest in Super League, you are prepared to spend time attempting to highlight the alleged downturn in attendances. The question I ask is Why? If you're not interested why do you bother. Stick with your Championship buddies, they must be thrilled to have you on board.

Because I'm a RL supporter who remains concerned about the future of the game lacking in sponsorship and finance, and which continues to be administered by morons at the RFL with the full support of all SL club CEO's. It's not their game to destroy from within.

Higher SL attendances and TV viewing figures were the only remaining performance indicators dutifully and relentlessly trotted out to the media in order to justify their existence, their agenda, their licensing system, their salary cap structure and their alleged expertise in running the game. That's all they had left to fall back on, because by every other measure the game itself is failing and continues to do so at an alarming rate.

Given the conspicuous absence this season of reported comparative SL attendances and the sudden lack of interest in the subject matter by the RFL and it's compliant RL media, I thought I'd fill that gap instead 8)

Your latest super-irritated response is noted but did I say I attended Championship games instead? Why would I be interested in a competition reduced to a sham and populated in the main by clubs in dual-registered subservience to SL clubs who dumped their reserve grades?
