I really wish people would read what I've put!!! I've already said next year will be tough. I agree the championship will be a tough league ad there is no guarantee we'll bounce straight back up.

My post about was that THIS YEARS Bradford squad would finish top of the championship if put in with the CURRENT PART TIME championship. It was in response to someone who said the bottom two SL clubs wouldn't finish in the top 3 of the championship.

Next year will be different.

Correct ,with the vast majority of the current squad signed on 2/3 year FT deals from next year. Don't think the two coming down will have it all their own way.

Next year will be different.

But, even this season, the very best you could do would be to win the league by 6 points. Lose either of the two games against Leigh (even you would admit that a freak result like that could possibly happen) and it would then be down to the last game of the season to see if you won the title. Doesn't sound comfortable to me!

Both London and Bradford will struggle next year, not in any danger of relegation. But it won't be a walk in the park.

The exodus has started at both clubs, and the rebuild will have to be done with long term in mind. Add to that the sides building year on year down in the championship, there'll be a few who are much stronger.

As we found, after years at the top. Going down everyone goes that extra 10% to beat you. In RL the side who wants it more invariably wins. This will cost the two relegated teams a couple of weeks.

As Dettoriman has said, you have to take into account how "pumped up" sides will be when they play you (and that's before their pitches are mysteriously narrowed and their wings are heavily watered ). They will play hard,tough, and dirty even at the expense of being knackered the week after. You'll end up with more injuries than you might expect and that could cost you.

The chance to "have a go" at an ex SL side will drive teams on. Unfortunately for you some (and I stress "some") of your fans in the glory days were a tad obnoxious, as was a past chairman.

I speak from experience, it all happened to Keighley in their brief glory years of the mid 90's. Just type "Keighley v Batley fight 1994" into google and go to "that" video site. It's the elbow to the head that sends Brendan Hill OTT. Enjoy

I've no doubt it will be tough next year. I certainly don't think we'll bounce straight back up. We've some excellent young players coming through, however they will be raw ad inexperienced and will probably find life difficult next year. Long term it will benefit us as we get rid of the shirkers on big contracts.
