Which was after one look at it.

After looking at it again, whilst still mistimed and deemed legal by the officials, it was high and reckless.

It really is embarrassing. First it was the refs fault Cas lost to a 2nd Division team, now it's a pathetic defence of an awful tackle.

Having seen the slow mo replay, the one on the Cas board, its a very bad one.
Yes he tries a big hit with his shoulder. But, as he gets close he knows he's mistimed it and is being stepped so he moves his elbow up and outward. Needs a long ban.

Nasty, launched himself into it with his elbow raised. 6-8 weeks++ due to extent of injury if the RFL have got any balls.

I would like to see injury caused considered in situations like this.

He has mistimed this one, From the way i see it, The initial contact may be in the tricep area and as his arm follows through, It looks like its an Elbow. I dont think he has intentionally attacked Ropati with an Elbow/ Forearm. Having watched Rangi over the years, This is how he tackles. Jumps in with a shoulder with his arm stiffened.

Unfortunately, He is likely to get banned, As he has misjudged it, And caused damage. But for me, Should be 2 or 3 games. And a warning on his technique.

I think that's fair though I'd go for four - it was for me a mixture of petulance and poor technique.
