Over 60 years ago...and that's where League (I hope it's only fans) get it WRONG. Get with it.......this is the 21st century and there are hundreds of groups, people, activities and past times trying to attract "disposable income". As long as you hark back to the good old days, your audience will get older and die.

In that time, the NRL will have had close to 15 million paying spectators, countless hundreds of millions of people watch the games and sold over half a Billion $$$$ worth of merchandise, then there are the sponsors and the fact over the next TV rights deal which could be as much as 1-1.2 Billion $$$$ over 5/6 years, you could say the TV rights for that 4 year period could well be 700/800 Million $$$$$$.

But that's chicken feed compared to the Union WC according to you, RL wouldn't come close
