I agree and I have been guilty of indulging these two humbugs on a couple of occasions. On another note, was really interesting to see the ticket sections available for the Saracens game at Wembley this week. They mirrored exactly the ones currently available for the RLWC SF. Many of the upper sections we only 2/3 full for the union game but it was recorded as 60k and looked great on TV.

With 5 weeks to go for this game it could be a truly memorable event. England will have been on TV for 4 consecutive weekends leading into this game. The world record for a RL international is 73k and this should be the organisers aim for this fixture.

in a bid to get back to some more positive stuff and to answer my own question above, the promo code '50%discount' is working at the moment for half price tickets, just been on and bought a couple for the headingley group game, should make a nice and slightly different wedding present :D

Warrington's sales seem to have picked up dramatically in the last week. The end terrace is no longer available. The long standing terrace has gone from a 300-400 last week to 1900+ now.

I think the SBW factor will be a big draw and I am glad the Kiwis didn't play him today. Seems like the majority if not all the seats have been sold too.

Some might look at this as being harsh but I think it's fair. When are the Rugby League going to stop persisting with this fantasy expansion. If it hasn't worked by now, it never will! I'm all for reaching out to a wider audience with our game but not at the expense of historical clubs in the homelands.

The 2011 4N game looked pretty good with 40k and just the lower bowl open. If the lower tier and a good proportion of Club Wembley seats are sold out as the ticket website suggests then it should look good on TV regardless.

How is a post about RLWC ticket sales off topic?
You've whined loud enough and it I was derailing the thread the mods would have told me.....maybe more threats to leave these boards will make them ban me

Grow the love up....Because you don't agree with my sentiments it doesn't mean I am wrong!

I live out of the country but work in London a fair bit and it is surprising how some of the people I see regularly talk about the Wembley event favourably. They are so used to London events being put on well and being promoted to them. A few colleagues are going to the NFL second game and have tickets for Wembley for the Big Hit too. I asked them why they were going to the RL and the answer was (to paraphrase) because it was a Wembley and was the World Cup. Great to hear as RL conversation often seems out of place in my work circles.

Should be a great event, only trouble is England might not be there!

If the competition starts well I think Wembley will be close to, if not, a sell out.
