the Claret And Gold Machine is ready to roll

sunday September 1st 2013, when a dream became a reality!!

You can make fun, and I can see why you would, but seriously...Hudds have team that are performing at he top of the game, playing a superbly attractive brand of rugby...why the Hell won't people in Hudds follow them??

that's a question we have all been asking! the answer is we dont know, its disappointing that our crowds aren't bigger, its been done to death on why our crowds have been poor over the years.
maybe with an upturn in people's financial situations we might get a few more coming in.

but us fans are turning up and doing our bit,but we just dont know why people wont come :ASK:

Where has it all gone wrong at Huddersfield?

Or is it that your club are increasingly reliant upon away fans turning up there?

Huddersfield V Leeds SL attendances
2013: 7,756
2012: 9,128
2011: 10,428
2010: 10,116
2009: 11,593

sorry to disappoint but 1500 leeds fans today, but they are only the 3rd team this season to be followed by over 1000 to the JSS so well done to them, shame they couldn't bring anywhere near the 8,000 they brought for the cup game!

You know, I guess, that accounts are generally 18 months behind.

Hence your earlier ludicrous suggestion to be more thorough I suppose?

How can I dismiss something that's not yet been reported or released into the public domain?

I'd stick to analysing local accents and their relevance to representative selection criteria if I were you. You may discover a warm welcome within certain political circles if you do just that.

I don't think you can use the financial situation as an excuse.

Other clubs, certainly my own, are doing very well.

If Hudds crowds had DIPPED, then fair enough, but in he SL era, they were never good..

This is not a dig...truth be told, I wish my team was as competitive...but if 8k will watch Wakey, why won't more watch an excellent team like Hudds?

That'll be because it cost more than £8 and it was a fixture where the result counted for little.

To be fair, Huddersfield aren't flogging cheap tickets on quite the same cheapo scale that Wakefield are this season.

Do you think Wakefield would be averaging 7,948 this season (still marginally down on their average attendance last season) if it weren't for season tickets being priced at less than £10 a game for adults, less than £2 a game for kids and single game offers like today where adults paid £5 and kids got in for free?

Feel free to cite an example this season of a RL journalist (or anyone from the RFL) reporting that SL attendances this season are down by a double-digit percentage.

Certain journalists are constantly bleating on about how current SL is unsustainable because 'crowds are down' .

Wakefield did the same thing last year .. it's a case of bringing fans back that were disillusioned by the previous regime there .

Show me evidence of this constant bleating about SL attendances by RL journalists or the RFL and I'll gladly concede the point.

I wish the Wakefield club all the best fortune there is in their quest to maintain decent home attendances, particularly when the club decide that ticket prices have to increase in line with other SL clubs prices.
