My sons school have been offered 500 free tickets for the Saracens game - so far they have managed to shift just over 80.

Correct. That's how attendances and averages for such events are always worked out. Talk of multiplying or dividing them by the number of games in each "event" is daft.

Amazing that this thread has degenerated into nit-picking, along with people trying to alter statistics and the mechanics behind them to suit their own agenda.

We should learn from that

When renewing my insurance, I was asked if I wanted 4 FREE tickets to the Saracens game as a promo they were doing. God knows how many they were giving away for free, or how many sponsors were doing the same. It's all about perception and we need as large crowds as possible so sponsors see a big potential return on investment they could possibly make.

Good stuff. This is exactly where RL is falling short. Not enough networking thru the junior clubs and schools. It's simply "too much trouble" and then the sport wonders whey it is so small in the UK compared to RU.

Warrington - New Zealand v Samoa sold out of seating tickets.

60,000 sold for Old Trafford.

All seating for NZ V.S Samoa at HJ has sold out, as well as both games at Workington.

Dan Roan has just said on BBC Sport that England v Ireland at Hudds is the first game to full sell out.
