It's fine, let's merge Bradford and Fax, but let's play out of the better ground in Halifax (less capacity but at least you can watch the game properly). We could call them the Faxbulls for a season, or maybe even the BullyFax and then get bored of that and revert to just plain Halifax RLFC. Sorted.
What everyone forgets (albeit it doesn't really apply to Bradford) is that RL clubs are mostly run as limited companies, and most will have hefty directors loans sitting on their books. If a merger was to come along, I'd expect that said directors would want that loan repaying, unless they were to have a major position in the merged team. Said repayments would probably send most clubs into bankruptcy.
