I personally wasn't happy when Berrigan came off quota and though we have an overseas space avaliable we aren't doing all we can to fill that space up with any Aussie and most of the players we've been linked with are English. We have (at the very most) 7 overseas players next year which is on par with the rest of SL. We also have brought a number of players through our own academy into our team, how many have you brought through your academy that have made it into your first team on a regular basis?
But hang on which one of us is supposed to have a brilliant youth set up?
And you will still have 7...................oh dear.

The fact that Hull KR will be looking at having 10 non-english players in their first choice starting 17 to me next year is a disgrace. The fact that Hull KR, despite bending the rules so much, are so far behind Leeds, Wigan, Wire, Saints and Hudds it's unreal is amusing, god help them when Justin has to play on the same playing field as everyone else.

What a shame you couldnt add your own team to that list

This year our academy products were Welham, Latus, Taylor and Watts (I know he came from cas but we got him at 17). Add to that we had Murrell & Cockayne who we brought through from a young age.

Watt/Murrell/Cockayne can't count as been brought up through your academy IMO, Murrell joined you at 19, Cockayne at 23 and as you say Watts is went through Hull/Cas' academy before joining yours, you're despreately clutching at straws there IMO.

Also, I asked who have gone onto be regular first team members, has Latus signed a new deal yet? Regardless he played a massive sum of 7 games and Taylor 3.

What comeback do you want? ATEOTD it really isn't much difference IMO between Murrell (for example) been developed by Rovers or Leeds - we're the club who have gained the most from his skills and talent, and it's with Rovers (hopefully) that he'll spend the best years of his career. This also applies to Fox, Cockayne etc - really it takes just as good a coach to spot young talent at other clubs as it does to train the players.

Think most Hull fans know where we stand in the great scheme of things.
For what its worth I don`t mind watching Aussies play if they are good enough.
If the same rules applied about foreign players in football,Chelsea would be shafted.

What did you think of Adam Dykes as a player?

When he actually managed to make it off the treatment table of course

Just remind me where is your ONLY england representative from again?
Is he from Hull?
Or did you perhaps nick him from Fev?
Ill say it again as you have 'accidently' missed it.
Which one of us has a supposed brilliant youth set up?
And did I read right that you will probably have 7 non UK players on your books next years even though the RFL only wanted you to have 5..........................oh dear.
It seems you like standards so much you want two sets of em.

Seven is too many but in line with most clubs in SL. However it less than Hull KR at 10 (or is it 11, I have actually lost count) which is the point of the thread(s).
