Wasn't an excuse....it was an observation regarding attendances at various World Cup in relation to the population of the host nations. You pointed our the drop in numbers as I'd it was purely down to lack of interest/demand.....I just showed you it wasn't that at all!
Well it's my observation that in a country to two or three million, where RU is akin to religion and their team were favourites and with another top team a short flight away, with a 20 million population and since the England fans traditionally follow their team in the hundreds of thousands, that perhaps the attendances were a little disappointing.
was watching an nfl doco. on one of their teams and they used the term bomb to describe those long high passes from quaterback to running back and i think gibson took that idea, realized you cant throw the ball forward in RL and adapted it to a "bomb" kick we have

Well gawd only knows how the RLWC 2013 aggregate and average attendances are going to unhinge your already unbalanced sensibilities then, because the host nations come in at around 150,000,000, the M62 population is bigger than New Zealand's
and people reckon Billy has too much time on his hands
Bad news for you and your mate Billy though as regards the hoped for low crowd at the opener. Go on, I dare you, since its about 16,000 more than attended the last opener in the UK, make a positive comment on the record crowd fir international RL in Wales in over 100 years.

Where did I ever hope for a low crowd anywhere? Retract or publish proof I hoped for a low opening crowd at RLWC.

Opening RLWC game in 2000, 33,758 in attendance? Are you saying I should I be surprised that the addition of a second match might increase ticket sales....

50,000+ in Wales for International RL is outstanding work by the organisers. I look forward to Wales v Italy in the Europeans in 2014 trying to improve on that

The tax authority's investigators are going to go into overdrive seeing as the have been working on the assumption that the population of England and Wales is only about 60,000,000 at a generous estimate.
150,000,000, who knew the birthrate had increased so rapidly.

England 54,000,000 Wales 3,000,000 France 66,000,000 Ireland 6,500,000 My bad....129,500 for the HOST nations. Just because Ireland and France aren't on the badge, doesn't mean they aren't hosting games.
4.433 million at the last count down here.....het they managed to sell a fair few tickets and not at a fiver either.
3.61 million is the population of Yorkshire and Lancashire alone......like for like, RLWC should be shifting 1.2 million tickets based on population alone

No, you can't have that. The total for the host nations is 57,000. I gave you 60,000. You should have quit whilst you were ahead.
We are not comparing like for like. My comment was that the attendances in New Zealand were disappointing given the population is obsessed with RU.
The population of the M62 that you were referring to has Man C, Man U, Liverpool, Everton, Hull City as well as a host of lower level soccer teams to siphon off support. New Zealand has no such distractions. RU is the Premier League of that country.
The NZ population isn't obsessed with RU, take a look at some of the S15 attendances. In a country where the only other past time in most regions is shagging sheep you would think they would draw decent crowds for their ruggers teams.
