Your season long absence from the 2013 SL attendance thread was duly noted, and particularly so after the big song and dance you made in 2012 over THIS
You actually do give a lot away there. There was some positive news in that instance, and I simply made a post pointing it out. Now, you have obviously kept a record of it, in the hope that in some way, somehow, some day, you could somehow use it. This shows you up for the anti-RL troll that you are, as there is no non-malicious reason why you would do that.
Secondly, you embarrass yourself by referring to a factual post highlighting decent attendances as a "big song and dance". Why would you describe one factual post as " a big song and dance"? Your emotional choice of words again shows you up.
As for the 2013 thread to which you refer, when I have glanced at it all I see is mainly you using it as a vehicle to push your anti-RL agenda. You only seek to denigrate, misrepresent and pour scorn. You have nothing to discuss and for the most part, nothing to say to which I could be bothered responding, or which merited a response. Your reference to my "absence" implies you think there was, and so I have done you the favour of explaining on this occasion, to disabuse you of your sorry delusion, because I'm that kind of helpful guy.

Brad Fitler "If the ref's decision decides your game. You haven't done enough prior."
Referees are like women, they make snap decisions and never reverse them.

35k in ticket sales (which translates as 70k when expressed in Smokeycalc terms) at a stadium as big as the Millennium in Cardiff for the opening ceremony isn't going to look too flash.
Right bear with me with this. I have been monitoring the ticket page for a few weeks now (sad individual with bugger all to do in the evenings - the joys of working life in the evening! ). Now I have no doubt this could be wrong but cross referencing the rows sold along with the odd press release about details and the actual physical number of seats has been reasonably accurate. So analysis:
Lower Tier - 23,500 seats - 71 rows left (L32, L33, L4, L5 and L9) x 28 seats per row = 1988 seats left Mid Tier - 18,000 - 7 blocks (counted rows available) x 20 seats per row x 15 rows = 2100 seats left
That leaves 4100 seats left (or 37,400 sold!), which is roughly accurate to 10% of 41,500 - THIS IS THE SAME AS QUOTED BY THE RLWC13 TEAM RECENTLY
Upper Tier - 33,000 = 11,800 seats sold (7800 West Stand and 4000 North Stand unavailable) (Cat 3 - 7800 seats - 54 rows x 28 seats = 1500 seats sold) (Cat 6 - 5200 seats - 173 rows x 28 seats = 4800 seats sold) (Cat 7 - 8500 seats - 197 rows x 28 seats = 5500 seats sold)
So adding together 37,400 and 11,800 actually gives smack of 49,200 seats sold. Compare that with those still left available (4100 lower/mid tier, 11800 unavailable and 9400 unsold) leaves me about the exact capacity of the ground. Give or take the accuracy difference mentioned in the first paragraph and I reckon the current tickets sold could be anything from 47,500 to 52,000...
I also asked one of the ticket girls when I rang the other day to book a couple of tickets near where my group are located, she reiterated that 90% of the lower/mid tier had gone, plus the Cat 6 (mostly gone!) and 7 seats had been selling very well. So I can't be far off...
There is probably the odd Maths mistake in there but I personally can't wait for the Opener no matter the crowd size. Confident of a 50k crowd though...

Go onI will reply and the point I think you are making is the total attendance would be 579,000 and the woman incharge said she was looking at 500,000 sales as a target
So the ones arguing over the proposed attendance seem to miss the point
So heres my guess at what the crowds will verus your ground capacity

My prediction would be for a total 424900 fans, which would be good or bad?...over to the bean counters

That would be an outstanding effort at a tad under 85% available capacity. I still think 360k is nearer the mark myself, which again at 72% would be OK, but I can't help feeling that we could have done better. The recent comment in the Guardian about the opener having sold more than the opener in 2008, whilst brilliant, still points to the 2008 total having not been overtaken as of yet, but there are a few variables that still need to be confirmed, so I see 360k as reasonable and your 425k as brilliant.

Will you answer my question, William? Along with acknowledging you were wrong in saying my tickets were half price.
I like Billy's threads as they are pretty much factual based and don't rely on greyed out areas of stadiums and amateur forecasting!
F***ing hell, do you have the same drug dealer as Miley Cyrus!
Your support of your little buddy William is cute I'll give you that.

For every game "Billy" attends during the World Cup can we count it as 2 seen as though Gutterfax's head is quite firmly stuck a long way up Mr Eve's bottom and I can't see him getting it out anytime soon.
Apologies for posting something positive in the thread, but i have just received my 32 tickets for the multiple games im attending throughout the competition with friends and family. Though a few folk are pretty jealous of my beanie hat.
Also just paid off a bill I owed for the 56 tickets i sold in my club for the final.
*I can post a picture of all the tickets if the above statement needs ratifying, as well as pictures of invoice and me attending each game, (dont want to leave any grey areas for some folk on here to revel in)
