Just a little joke. In all seriousness that turnout deserved to be applauded. Had a club such as Wakefield, Huddersfield, or Salford won the Cup the best turnout would've been somewhere under 5,000. And that's being generous.
Yea it should be applauded , excellent turnout and really pleased for Hull FC, they're a good bunch.
Imo if Wakefield had somehow won it, far more than 5000 would have turned out though. Simply because of how long it's been since we've won something, plus the turmoil we've been through. It would have been a huge deal for the City. People around the City would have loved to have been a part of it because it may not have happened again for many. There's a serious underbelly of can't be arsed Wakefield supporters that would of shown up (especially because it's free), in a similar way to how 23k went to watch Hull's celebrations but don't show up to watch Hull FC each week. Just look how many turned up to games when we were giving tickets away cheap a few years ago.
