Great effort by Saints, it's never easy over there.
I dont get why so many Saints fans have a chip on their shoulders though.

I think they are, probably justifiably, concerned that this team won’t get the credit or be remembered in the way they deserve. A lot of folk are just jaded with the game. This is a great achievement but it was a game I had zero interest in watching as a neutral.

Hull KR kick off in a minute. Against Wigan. I’ve set to record.

I quite enjoyed Leigh vs Salford last night.

Edit: I’m going to have to be very careful my press delete muscle memory doesn’t kick in.

Edit 2: on reflection, I wonder if they’re (well, those on here that are) maybe, at least subconsciously, trying to provoke any sort of response. Where earlier SL dynasties had a degree of novelty, we’re now at the ‘oh, another dynasty’ phase. Interminable platitudes about sport being cyclical and Rome not being built in a day. At least people disliked Wane-era Wigan, perhaps that is better than being ignored. He said, having posted nearly exclusively about Saints this weekend. It could be working! :)

Saints were brilliant what a game.

Well done to them on equalling Bradford’s 3 world club challenge wins.

Unlike other clubs, none of our WCC victories were won inside our own stadium so with home advantage.

I'm sure they will. No one is denying how great a team they currently are, and the trophy cabinet proves their success. Their outstanding achievements will be remembered for a long time, especially the way the Saints fans like to remind everyone.

They will undoubtedly be spoken about for decades to come the way the Widnes team of the late 70's, Wigan from mid '80s through the '90s, Bradford in the early 2000's, and Leeds of the late 2000's.

It must be a good time to be a Saint.

It's a shame Netflix didn't send a documentary crew last year. That would have lifted the profile of the sport, as well as given us all a few laughs.

Hopefully they have, would be a fascinating watch.

Could Saints be the first team to win back to back WCC games?
