So did Featherstone. They also could have avoided any foreign travel by finishing 1st.
No-ones denying it’s not tough on Fev. But I don’t quite see what everyone saying it’s massively unfair on them wants to happen?
I didn’t see massive furore at the start of the season when the playoff structure was announced. Most people thought it rightly gave league position a good advantage. It’s unfortunate for Fev they’ve been given the worst possible outcome but all clubs knew this could be a possibility. As long as the travel arrangements have been arranged well then that’s just how it is.
If clubs want to prove they’re good and strong enough for SL then they can’t whinge when they have to play in an international and full time competition. Too many Championship clubs want the benefits of playing in a full time comp but don’t want to pay their players enough to be full time.
Plenty of SL clubs would whinge just as much as well by the way.
