Stupid idea.... end of... Whoever came up with this nutcase idea wants banning from ever being around the sport for life. Makes no sense for any reason at all... apart from fulfilling somebody's idiotic fantasy that Rugby League will one day dominate the world.

Say what you're really thinking LoyalFan. What do you see as the negatives?
It would be interesting to see what sort of crowds they draw at home, I seem to think the national team pulls a decent amount in when they play their 3 test series against the USA.

The National side play at the same stadium, Toronto seemingly being the nerve centre of RL in Canada.
Going off Wikipedia (I know ), the last two home National team games vs USA and Jamaica in 2014 attracted 7,356 and 3,129.
If it doesn't cost us anything then shy not give it a shot, some have said elsewhere to expand into Scotland, we tried Wales and it didnt go too well, don't see how Scotland would be any different.
If RL can get a foothold in Canada maybe it could make a bigger impact in the USA, if we want RL to really be taken seriously then these are the opportunities that we need to seize.
Only 4 games are to be played away, im sure there is an easy way to decide which teams get to go, and the players will only need to take a week off if that.

I wasn't being particularly serious. But to be fair, if someone is stumping up money to set a team up over here, they're not doing it because they want to play in the Championships are they?
Union has a league with clubs from Aus NZ and South Africa, so I think a Canadian club could be possible in super league, but not league 1. A load of league 1 teams lost to amateur clubs in the challenge cup a few weeks ago. It's hardly a league that's ready to go global.
If we are going down this silly they need to get promoted route, at least start them in championship, a year of winning easily and losing loads of money will achieve nothing.
