All it did was reduce the score...Cas would have been a lot more in front.
Cas deserved winners no doubt. If I were a Wigan fan though I'd be tearing my hair out about that sloppy laying-on penalty that Jack Hughes gave away at 4-6. Cas had to endure a tough 10-15 prior to that and he let them off big time.
Thought at 4-6 Wigan would snatch it and that Cas whilst impressive in so many departments had too many disappointing kicks that allowed Wigan to start sets higher up the pitch than they should've done and that would be their undoing. For Wigan, they looked uncharacteristically unorganised and lacking structure in attack near the Cas line......that BTW is not to say that Cas weren't great in defence, just Wigan can look at the tape on Monday and be disappointed in some of the things they did/didn't do with ball in hand.
Thought the main reason why Wigan would win pre-game (apart from obvious home field advantage) is something I questioned when Leeds played Cas a few weeks back.....their defence. They've put up some good showings against the top teams this year but conceded too many points in those games (even when they beat Wigan at home they shipped 30 themselves). But today they blew that out of the water, probably even the most hardcore of Cas didn't think they'd only concede 4 points today.
