there all great players but when i said Dobson i meant that when you watch him he looks a cut above the rest of the imports at the moment anyway, he just seems to do everything for Rovers. i agree with you that some of the imports treat the SL like a holiday camp or something

What about Gidley? Looks a class above the rest of the centres in Super League IMO.

Also, I think that this would only work if clubs had to release their players to play the games. It would be no use if some of the teams weren't letting their best players feature in this game/series, if it was to happen.

I feel that rep football never gets a chance because the crowds are not good. What we have to realise though is that we all love our clubs and splash the cash accordingly. We then follow GB / England as we still hope we will do well against the Aussies / Kiwis. SOO is so well followed in Oz because its the only competitive game they feel they will see as they ( in the arrogance, though its well placed) beat us and the Kiwis every time.

We either accept that Lanc v Yorkshire will only be watched by 5000 and run with it or we carry on as we are.

Regarding the roses series what would a player like Rob Purdham do? Born in Cumbria and repping quins down south how would he be eligible for either county, would he want to play for them.

Would a home nations championship done properly not work? Playing games at towns who dont normally get the action, and sell the TV rights to a channel like 4, 5 or even the BBC? At least then everyone gets to see it.

i think that should be an aspiration of the RFL, but the other home nations will need a SL frachise at least before they could even start to compete with a full England side annually
