We did on a dog of a pitch if I recall. Nice idea if August is your pre season like back then but in January! - No ta!

They did a Charity Shield 9 times and it was played at Douglas Bowl on the Isle of Man (four times) then at Anfield, Vetch Field (Swansea), Gateshead (twice) and finally Royal Dublin Showground in Dublin.

Exactly the line that I was thinking - the staggered start to the season this year has highlighted just what a damp squib it has been so far; 5 games in to the season and still hasn't quite 'got going' IMHO.
