No-one at the club is unhappy about this. It's an arrangement used by many clubs such as Leigh Centurions and Leeds Rhinos for example. It means one company runs the ground and the club have devote more time and effort to concentrate club matters. I wouldn't say it's a non-story but it's certainly not a scandal and the stadium company have our best interests at heart as they know the Crusaders are the primary tenants.

Care to explain the similarities ?

No it wasn't my post

The point was that the ground is being maintained and expanded upon by Brewery Field Ltd. It benefits all of the clubs that play their rather than the Crusaders paying for the upkeep of the stadium and everything that comes with that out of their own pockets. We're certainly better off as a result of this.

What is the set up with you lot and Leigh Genesis playing there?

So you posted something that you didn't have a clue about

Leigh Genisis dont play at the LSV despite it being partly financed by thier ability to get funding , they cannot afford to

I'm sure Mr Samuels didn't inform the RFL that he might be doing this

Having a controlable long term lease and having a relatively short term rental agreemant are totally different things

If the Ravens and the footy team are also lined up to play at the ' proposed ' new stadium then when it all comes to fruition [ if ever ] they will make serious money from thier ownership of the lease on Brewery Field

Sound more like a ' cash flow ' issue to me

What's relatively short about 25 years?

Why does it sound like a cash flow problem to you?

I think it makes perfect sense to pass on the upkeep and maintenance costs of a ground to another party as long as you guarantee you will be playing at it.

Also how many teams in Super League own their own grounds?

You'd be surprised how many don't. They seem to get on fine.

I know exactly how many dont ' own ' thier own grounds

Wigan and Hull don't seem to do too bad do they?

Hull KR this year seem to be going along quite nicely. Widnes, the team some people seem to think should have been in before us, need any more?
