just seen something about it on another thread. apparently his reasoning is that there aren't enough uk players.

His words were along the lines of:

'I along with other great thinkers in the game think we should have one Rugby Union player per team. Set a figure at about £50k. Think of the publicity we would get.'

and you can here the ludicrous proposal from Noble that we lure the higher paid union players to league and yet more discussion about the lack of British talent...from a coach who had 10 overseas players in his squad this week, whereas Hull had 10 homegrown players!

He can speak for himself on lack of British talent. We've got Eastmond, Dean, Foster, Wheeler,Armstrong, Magennis, Frodsham, Smith and Moore all on the fringes of the first team at Saints. That shows British talent IMO.

I'm just amazed that Noble stopped short of suggesting we could only sign overseas Union players.

I sometimes wonder how he squares his actions, with what's right for the game, in his head.

He seems to have a big opinion of himself despite his track record.
