Will Gasnier become a Wallaby

STADE Francais rugby coach Ewen McKenzie has delivered Australian rugby the good news that his star recruit Mark Gasnier could be ready for Wallaby selection in the 2011 World Cup, if he can be enticed home from Paris.
McKenzie is visiting Sydney this week with his French club sitting in third place on the ladder as the former NRL star becomes more and more comfortable in his new code.
"He has extraordinary skills, more than I thought," McKenzie said.
"With the skillset he has, I can't see how he is not going to continue to improve. And if he continues to improve he will be a very good player."
I think he is enjoying not being in a goldfish bowl," McKenzie said. "He misses his surfing, that is the thing he misses the most."
He said Sonny Bill Williams, who is in the centres at rivals Toulon, plays the game aggressively and is a handful.
"He has enormous potential, the only thing that holds him back is injuries," he said.
