Our u16s look decent so could be us, but then Saints academy looks good also so they'll fancy their chances.

Wigan and Saints will always have decent youngsters because they are the only teams any decent youngsters want to play for given the coaching available. Everyone was raving about Hull fcs academy this year except for those of us that actually watch the academy. Saints mullered them today with absolute ease

All empires come to an end. 17 years ago the Bulls of Bradford were Champions. Seven years ago Sky were telling us that Leeds were well set despite the retirement of a couple of the club's greatest ever players. 30 years ago Wigan seemed set for perpetual success. This Saints side haven't achieved half the latter two clubs did and their time will come to an end, as they all do.

In Springfield, they're eating the dogs, the people that came in. They're eating the cats! They're eating the pets!

I do hope so, St's haven't missed the play-offs since the start of S.L. have they?

This is a different team though. And the Cunningham rebuilding era was pretty grim.

Somebody said Saints have never finished lower than 5th in SL, the other day. I didn’t check but it seemed plausible. That’d mean we’d have to consider ‘pretty grim’ as a relative term.

You never know, another club might get a sugar daddy or IMG might come with up something new or different. Or Salford… no, sorry, almost got carried away then.

Maybe ALL of the ‘opponent’ clubs could merge, like the Constructicons, into a megagigateraclub and those current big club #*£@&s take a turn as the Washington Generals?
