The all conquering Catalans Dragons have received a great honour by being invited to play the famous Wigan Club at FC Barcelona's home ground, Camp Nou, in June 2019.
This important invitation reflects the international respect that Catalans have earned by their glorious victory over Warrington in the Challenge Cup final at Wembley, on August 25, 2018.
Some 8,500 hard core Catalans fans are certain to attend, alongside an unknown thousands of Wigan fans, who will be attracted by the famous Barcelona venue. However it will be important for the Catalans management to attract more soft core fans from France, as well as thousands of intrigued Spanish Catalans from the Barcelona region, so that the 99,000 capacity stadium looks good on British, French and Spanish television.

Should put Toulouse on as a curtain raiser to that.
But Toulouse has no cultural ties to Catalonia, so it would not attract many extra spectators.
The hard work has to be done in promoting the game in the Perpignan region, and in the Barcelona region. Arranging discounted air tickets well in advance for Wigan fans to have a lovely summer holiday in Barcelona, would be a good idea as well.
“At last, a real, Tory budget,” Daily Mail 24/9/22 "It may be that the honourable gentleman doesn't like mixing with his own side … but we on this side have a more convivial, fraternal spirit." Jacob Rees-Mogg 21/10/21

Why Wigan, a small northern town on the M62 and not the mighty Toronto wolfpack and their legion of ticket buying, game watching supporters, surely in the RL world they are the bigger pull and would help fill the ground more than a few thousand from the north of England?

If you think airlines will give 'cheap' deals in summer months on flights to Barcelona your are living in dreamland (or Chorley)
