Deserves to be on the short list, for me its a 2 horse race between Mo Farah and Andy Murray.

the petrolhead vote is always huge - hamilton will probably win again, but tyson fury would be a spoty rarity - a winner with personality

I'll be voting for Kev Sinfield.

Wouldn't mind if Mo Farah won, but what's the betting the home counties vote for Andy Murray, a man with zero personality.

The winner doesn't have to be funny or articulate. Murray helped Britain to their first Davis Cup in 79 years. He'd be a worthy winner (although I hope Sinfield wins, obviously).

Maybe they should rename it "Sports Achiever Of The Year' instead of 'Sports Personality Of The Year'.

Currently Jessica Ennis-Hill is favourite, and I can only see her, Murray, Fury or Hamilton winning it. Still its great to have some form of recognition.

What I don't understand is this seasons best player Hardaker isn't the one nominated. I mean everyone else on the shortlist seems to have been the number 1 perfomer in their event/sport this year. Come across to me as a token gesture.
