Given how far the standard of players within SL has fallen over the past few years, if he got a season ending injury next week he would still walk the MOS

Didn't go for MOS, didn't see them odds.
But went for Albert Goldthorpe medal at 16/1. Half backs seem to win that a lot so thought ii'd stick a tenner on it.

Also had a punt on Justin Carney top try scorer at 20/1.

I'm surprized that Walshy didn't get NRL offers.
He doesn't look fantastic in a poor side like Penrith were last year because he is basically a little general who needs some talent around him for him to exploit, but at 26 he is at the peak of his skills, ad he has shown over several years that he is a consistant match winner when he has some decent players around him.
To be honest, I'd love to see Walshy at the Knights and Dobson in the ESL.

I'd very much like it if the NRL can forget about him, and we can have him play out his days in the red vee. Starting to build an understanding with the wingers for his kicking game, wins us position regardless and frees our players to do what they do best.

Early days, but I'm very very happy.
