Does anyone know how it is picked. And how the player of the month is then picked from the Team of the month.

Is there any prize for the player in question?

I seem to remember they used to print the top players for their respective positions, according to OPTA stats, then just select the best of those for the team & the best overall as the player. Not bought it in a long while though.

Ah right, Is that the same for the Northern Rail Cup team of the month then?

They still show the best 5 for each poisition.

Not sure, seem to remember they would give the OPTA figures for SL but not for other leagues, don't know if OPTA stats were/are kept for them.
