News of our Demise was a Little Premature The 2023 Betfred Super League season is on the brink of two significant attendance milestones ahead of the final round of matches before the Play-Offs this Friday night – and among a majority of clubs whose home crowds have increased year on year, the Challenge Cup finalists Leigh Leopards and Hull KR have posted their best figures since well before the start of Super League in 1996. The cumulative attendance of 1,446,052 across the first 26 rounds is already the highest since the change in the competition format in 2019, which involved a significant reduction in the number of fixtures and another 53,948 when all six Round 27 matches are played on Friday night would break the one and a half million barrier for the first time in five years. If Hull could play competently for more than 2 games in a row we could easly add another couple of thousand on.

Rovers can quite quickly extend their East stand to the try line and get some more in.

I beleive Catalan are looking at a new stand down the side so theres potential for some growth there.

Leeds, Wigan, Saints and Wire all have some room in the stands to keep growing. Cas get a massive following considering the size of the town and the state of the ground.

We just need perenial low crowd teams Salford and Huddersfield to grow and crowds are looking ok.

It's easy to say "extend the stands, get more seats in", and " there's a few empty seats, put some fans in them". It's a lot more difficult to actually fill those stands and empty seats whilst keeping it cost effective.
