It seems the RFL is not alone in showing favouritism in their dispensing of punishments.

Owen Farrell received 10 matches for a disgraceful high shot but it was reduced to 5 because the England coach said he was a nice lad and did charity work.

Farrell's tackle was not a 'disgraceful high shot'. He was attempting to dislodge he ball from the attacking player and mistimed it. It was at worst reckless and would likely have received only a yellow card in RL or possibly put on report. In RL terms it was a Grade B dangerous contact with a 2 or 3 game ban.

Here is the tackle for anyone who hasn't seen it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EKStdroY25o

To be fair I often try to dislodge the ball by wrapping the entirety of my arm around their neck.

Hits him as he steps (and so his head is lower) but I still think he would have been high.

10 games is a bit much though.

What the hell is this crap doing on a Rugby League forum?
"Brian McDermott, with a wry smile, nods when asked if he remembers a specific incident which made him realise he was a prick. 'I do', he murmurs."

It is closer to RL than song titles and group names.

Check out the AUP honey:

Posting stuff about that sport on the Virtual Terrace breaks at least two of those and possibly all four.
