Ronaldo and Messi have still won things with their national sides, Widdop hasnt.

Why is it the same people on here who argue with incorrect facts and never say something like - sorry my mistake or I stand corrected? There is nothing wrong with a healthy debate of opinion, that's why we are here, but to make up facts and then not be able to hold their hands up really does baffles me.

So the definition of being World Class means you have to win things at international level? Giggs, Scholes, Haji, Cantona, Ibrahimovic are just a few examples I can think of where that's blatantly untrue.

Hanley, Edwards, Gregory, Offiah were also rather good from recollection but what did they win on the international stage?
