You could argue that's precisely the reason to do it. There may be some potential supporters there as opposed to people who already know about it and aren't interested. As you'll know many sports fans (other than RL fans) are prepared to travel long distances. Many Spanish football teams are more than 100 miles apart yet attract away fans in good numbers.

What do they lose by doing this?

Nothing but it (along woth other scenes since they won) is nothing different to what others do when they win the cup yet people are getting giddy over it like it’s something special. Loads of bandwagoners jumping on Catalans success, don’t recall these same people pulling for them back when York almost beat them in the earlier rounds.

Maybe because Catalan winning the challenge cup has a great story behind it. People are happy to see an expansion team finally win a major trophy.

Parading the trophy @ the nou camp would really be amazing. If Catalan dragons can get new fans that's great and then there is the power brokers in Catalonia. These are the people Catalan want to attract.

Hope its a success and they take a game to Barcelona again (Barca still have that mini Nou Camp for the reserves right?)
