English Rugby League is dead anyway, so who cares.


Thank god for us Australians and the Kiwi's who are able to provide our old talent to prop up the competition in the UK.

Ah, the Kiwi's have always been proping up Super League you moron. Hell it was the Auckland Bulls winning Super League a few years ago.

Fair points:
1. Need for rules to be the same everywhere
2. Need for players from more teams to be in teh squad
3. The length of season. For me kick off should be March 1st.
Poor excuses:
1. The grapple made us play bad - rubbish, the grapple didn't make our defence melt like butter when under the slightest bit of pressure or the enthusiasm in the team going missing from game one.
2. Media coverage. RL gets what it deserves. it has never spent any serious money on raising its profile on a national level. other sports are lucky they don't have to, we do and haven't done it. Not only that but we took Int RL of FTA TV and then complain when our national team doesn't get teh recognition they think they deserve.

When I was in England in 2006....I was expecting a blackout of RL news.


Well wasnt I in for a surprise, you'd have to go out of your way to avoid news stories, paper articles and all sorts of League in the media!

the beeb has copped plenty of flak from league fans over the years. it will be interesting to see how they cover the mid season england international.
the sooner they find a replacement for ray french the better.
