I've not really noticed they've been gone TBH. It'd be interesting to hear from a players point of view (especially the forwards) whether they welcome them back. I expect an extra moment to catch a breath would be welcomed now that the six again rule is in place.
We often hear in defence of scrums that it creates an opportunity for attacking play as it ties up 14 players in one part of the field but how often do we actually see anything like this? Not very often at all.
