Round 6: Newcastle Thunder : Tue Jun 01, 2021 6:57 pm
Discuss the game here. Tickets are on sale and the Bulls will try to make it 7 wins on the spin. Newcastle have a few former Bulls in Evan Hodgson, MIkey Wood and Liam McAvoy. Should be another belting game back at Odsal.

Hopefully we don't get complacent after two superb victories and start looking ahead at the Fev game.

This is still a tough game. Whilst Newcastle are near the bottom, they're not getting hammered. Think we'll have to grind this one out.

Maybe a selection dilemma for Kear as I'm sure Sundays effort will have taken its toll on the players, whilst Newcastle had a week off.

Hallas will come in for Fleming. Wonder if Kear will be tempted to maybe freshen it up slightly.

Eagerly awaiting news on Mitch and Robson. Hopefully both extending.
Must admit id be tempted to give Crossley or Ben Evans the week off. Possibly play Golding at fullback and rest one of Pick, Jordan or Brough

Traditionally, JK doesn't tinker with his side unless he has to.

Indeed.

But I expect to see Hallas in for Fleming too.

Not sure Mitch did all that much on the wing vs York. There were two decent efforts in defence but I think DFJ is busier and contributes more.

To be fair I don’t really know what opportunities he had on his side in attack I grant you DFJ got that break against dewsbury but he Dosent get them every week. I personally prefer Mitch for defence and imo he’s a stronger runner with ball in hand but depends what you like in a winger I guess

I think DFJ does more carries - Mitch needs to do more with the ball in hand for me. He's a big lad and could take some work off the forwards if he runs his weight.

It depends on what he is told to do and when to come into the line for a carry
looking in from the outside and your teamsheet it seems to me you are a team that moves the ball more to the right edge looking at the tries scored in the last game.
if you think Brown is fast then wait and see Mitch in open space.
Pleased for you guys the season is going well

TBF playing outside Oakes must be great for a winger as he has great hands. Evans isn't that kind of centre.

Deffo agree there Evans is more hard running and hard tackling did suprise me though that he didn’t keep going with his interception
