Stuart Duffy : Mon May 17, 2021 4:43 pm
Retiring from his role with the Bulls

https://www.bradfordbulls.co.uk/article ... ofOzFQEtxA

Not always the most popular person on this Forum. Don't know him myself, so I don't have any view of him as a person, but it did amaze me that he managed to stay in post whatever bad situation (and there have been MANY) befell the club with him at the core of it.

I always Liked Duffers. He was the guy who instigated and ran the old Bulls (official) message board and, for me it's sad he's going .Though, I guess he's earned his retirement after long service in several roles over the years. All the best Stuart.

He is a top feller and has been a great servant to the club.

He has taken a lot of flack on hear (much of it unwarranted IMO) but time and time again has steadied the ship and provided stability to the team and staff left in limbo. He has also never been afraid to dip his hands into his own pockets to help out the club when he felt it was right to do so.

His health has been poor recently so I hope he has a long and happy retirement as he really does deserve it.

Best wishes Stu

Some have said that he knows where the bodies are buried hence surviving all our different ownership models. Or maybe he's just a likeable bloke and knows what he's doing hence surviving all our ownership models.

I’ve known Stuart pretty much since he arrived at the club and he’s had various dealings with the likes of BISA and BullBuilder over the years. A RL man through and through there’s not much he doesn’t know about the game and he’s full of great stories. For a Leeds fan he’s done well to stick with the Bulls all this time! He leaves some big boots to fill.

The phrase politically correct is in itself politcally incorrect so should be rephrased politically stupid!

If you like old type radio comedy/ dramas etc listen to //pumpkinfm.com/

Statistically speaking you have a better chance of getting dead the older you get!

Thank god only when you find a religion that passes the truth test!

Agree with that Sam, he has been the one constant in the ups and downs of the Bulls to this point. Perhaps you could encourage him to do an "Evening with Stuart Duffy" to help with the BullBuilder funding. A bit like Peter Fox did all those years ago at Odsal though that was just a night for the supporters if I remember rightly!

That’s a great idea Blotto.
Stuart has received much criticism on this and other forums. I don’t recognise the man those critics describe. My contact with him through BullBuilder has shown me a man who cares, and a man who has always put the club first.
