Round 5: Swinton : Mon May 03, 2021 9:32 am  
So with 3 league wins on the bounce we face Swinton in Round 5. Are there any injury returns? Do we think this is win 4 of 5?

Judging by the pre-season it felt like Swinton had a handy side with their own good organiser in Ridyard. I feel that if the lads continue to work hard then we should come away with the two points.

Think it could depend a lot on injuries. Don't think Hallas is due back for another couple of weeks and if Levi and Scurr are both ruled out then we're looking light in the forwards. Swinton usually have a big pack and could dominate us if we are too light up forward.

Don't think we've ever had an easy game against Swinton. All our injuries against Whitehaven were props so we could be very light on Sunday. Wouldn't read too much into Swintons recent results. Can't see this being an easy game. Just got to keep ticking the wins off at this stage. Oldham beating Halifax should be a clear message that they are no gimmees. The points difference will take care of itself when we eventually run up a big score.

May have to take advantage of dual reg. Sorry 2 week loan system...

There's a name I've not heard in a while. He appears to have disappeared off the face of the earth. Not getting much game time at Wigan by the look of it.

I'd get on the phone to Doncaster and see if Ross Peltier fancies a 2 week spell back at his hometown club.

Pre season game against them has absolutely zero relevance. Both teams used about 30 players.

A team thats bottom of the league, with no wins and conceding on average 43 points a game is one that we should be beating no questions asked.

Pretty sure that's what Halifax thought before they played Oldham. In fact I think our friend Greg used the term "cannon fodder" on their board (sorry Greg :D)

In all seriousness I see where you're coming from. Swinton have been getting some big scores against them, including Widnes who have looked pretty hopeless so far this year.

The worry for me is if N'Zoungou, Fleming, Walker & Scurr are all injured we are looking light. And Swinton are a very physical side.

For me we need to keep grinding the results out and ticking the wins off. We're currently joint 3rd, beat Swinton that's 4 wins in a row and we' re looking in a decent position.
