notice from post match interview that Kear was less than impressed with the Refereeing. Can't say it seemed too bad during match although there did seem to be a lot of set restarts in whitehavens favour for no obvious reason.

From what I've seen so far, he's far too raw for a SL side to be taking a chance on him just yet.

They will sign him and loan him out. Not much of a punt or risk for a SL team. Most teams in our division would take him on a loan. Just hope he sticks with us.

I think he's a Bulls fan is Scurr so may not be in a massive rush to move on. Hes playing reguarly and playing well. His time in SL will come.

I have to say though he's getting better each game. When crowds are back I think he'll go up another level. I remember when we had Fielden & Anderson, when either of them got the ball the whole crowd lifted and got behind them each and every carry. I think the same will happen with Scurr and will push him on even further than what he's doing now in front of empty stadiums.

Shout out to Tom Doyle too who I think is maturing into a very good hooker. I can't remember any bad passes off the deck he's made. His defence is outstanding too. He made a crucial tackle yesterday that is he hadn't have got back, Haven would have been in under the posts and right back in the game.

Going back a little further, the same used to happen with Paul Meadly. It was great when he came off the bench. Always a big roar for his first touch of the ball which almost always lead to a tackle bust and him leaving a couple of defenders flat on the turf. Good old Northern days

Scurr is 1 of 6 Stanningley lads playing regularly in our team.

Hopefully Lilley, Hallas and Brown having been at SL clubs can convince him that playing regularly in the Championship for us is going to do him no harm.

Medders had definite pace for a second row as well though and scored from with in his quarter on many occasions. That said both Ebon and Doyley are no slouches and can only improve - assuming we can hang on to them for a while before their obvious talents take them further in the game.
