Halifax have just signed Adam Tangata, so a bit more quality added to their pack.

It's said a few Championship clubs were in for him. I wonder if the bulls were one of them? I'm not sure about having a player back for a third time but he's certainly a stand out in this league.

Meanwhile we are sat here still waiting for the 3 Super Leage players that were joining us in time for the start of the season.

Who knows, we have just lost England from the squad but I suspect Ben Evans was brought in as his replacement with the knowledge that England was finished. I'm not optimistic there is much left in the budget for anything other than few youngsters from somewhere like Leeds.

York have loaned Joe Keyes from Hull KR as well, among others. Plenty of champ clubs doing business, except for us of course.

Mainly 2 week loan deals though aren't they. Not really the solution IMO

If Keyes sets the world a light he'll just go back to KR and its more chopping and changing at HB York will have to do. I think York have a few injuries anyway which is why they've brought those players in short term. As much as I would have liked to change the entire team after the Sheffield debacle, we know too well using 40+ players rarely works.

Anyway signing one or two SL academy players won't change anything. It's how we prepare and turn up attitude wise that needs sorting. I'd have liked to have signed Tangaata, but won't make much difference if the other 16 players play like they did against Sheffield.

See what sort of attitude we turn up with this week.

We could certainly have used Keyes. It would allow Lilley to fill in at hooker to give Doyle a break and give us more options at halfback, providing someone who has a running threat. Tangata would have provided us with some real impact and coming from SL he'd have raised the fitness standard in the pack too.

Never mind though, we can see whether Walker can fit into his shirt this week instead.

That 17 you picked looks alright on paper Bulls Boy (apart from Walker that is) - it ought to be playing a lot better than it has been doing.

Gledhill says we have a new player coming in next week. I hope its Wildie. I would have him back in a shot and I see he hasn't got in the Leigh 21 squad for this week.

Wildie would be an improvement and can cover halfback too. I'm not getting my hopes up though.
