Why do we need another prop? We’ve got Crossley, Fleming, Evans, Walker, Scurr and Levy.

I assumed those places were filled by Evans,Walker and Sanderson. All ex SL players albeit some quite a while ago.

Reference was made to players coming in after the Fev game due to clubs not wanting their players cup tied.

Given Walker and Sanderson were un attached and Toulouse not being involved in the challenge cup obviously Kear wasnt referering to any or those 3.

Sadly it looks like false promises which is very dissapointing to say the least.

Or maybe they are still cup tied?

Plenty of injuries in SL so far, Kear did allude to loans from SL teams maybe due to said injuries clubs are wanting to keep hold of players.

There was talk of Smith from Wigan being a target now I’m not saying he was but look at the injuries and 3/4 line Wigan put out at the weekend and you could see that if this was on it might be now put back? Leeds another club with big injuries if we were lined up for any of their squad

Well if we are relying on SL loans to assemble a play off capable squad then we clearly aren't ready for SL anytime soon are we!

Majority of clubs who have finished in the playoffs/got promoted have loaned players from SL, I don't see a problem.
Hull KR had Jordan Abdull for full season in 2017.
Toronto had Brad Fash and Jack Logan in 2019
Both these clubs got promoted so I don't see the problem of SL loan players helping boost a squad.

As much as I am inclined to agree, Featherstone were lauded by some on how well they were doing and how they were an example to championship teams, despite being based on the same thing for years.

I guess it’s a case of needs must.
