People mention Newcastle being a smaller club than ours. Depends on how you measure that because in financial terms they are owned by a multi-millionaire and we aren't

This.

And if Newcastle or York etc sign a player they are showing ‘ambition’. If we do we are overspending and playing a dangerous game.

I find it bizarre that a club with the potential of Bradford cannot find one of these multimillionaire backers!

Well, 'bizarre' is certainly an adjective often applied to happenings at Odsal over the years...

We can find them. Then the RFL ignore their offer and choose someone with 27p in the bank instead.

27p in their pocket. If you remember they weren't able to open a bank account.

On the subject of owners, has anyone seen the accounts that were just released, its the updated ones from Jan 2019 with a drop of creditors owed from roughly 1.2million to roughly 600k. Maybe this is the amount Chalmers wrote off?.

I would say, almost certainly. When did Wood & Sawyer take over, was it Sep/Oct 2019? This missing 2020 is doing my head in. There were several threads at the time about some creditors being paid back over 4-6months as well. I would assume the current accounts look a lot healthier, especially after a year of no stadium costs and staff furlough.

I reckon it is likely to be that, think it was around then, I remember that hopefully the accounts do look much better, got accounts up to November 2019 due at end of this month and end of July up to October 2020 so not long to find out how Sawyer,Wood etc are doing.
