Morning Bulls Fans, Sorry to bother you all and I hope you are looking forward to the start of the new season? I'm putting together a bit of research into a website that I run called Lifestyle Uncut. With the aim of the research to find the most talented players ever to have played for Bradford since founded in 1907. Once the data has been gathered for yourselves and all the other clubs, it would be very interesting to see who the all time best player to feature in the English leagues. I know this always turns popular debate and sometimes heated debate, but any help you provide would be outstanding. As a Rugby League fan & volunteer I really want to help and show how good our sport is. All the best to you this season. Cheers, Chris

Recently we ran polls on each position to establish who were the great Bradford players since the establishment of the Bulls brand. The outcome of these can be found here: http://forums.rlfans.com/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=540327&tsmp=1359373980 The actual polls are still on the forums so if you search Bulls best... you should find how we all voted. In terms of overall players, one thing I believe is that it is very difficult to compare modern day players to those we watch now. The game is so different, even if you watch some of the games from teh mid-90's when the game turned pro. That said, if I were to choose some of the better Bradford players pre-Bulls i'd definately include the following: Keith Mumby Paul Newlove Ellery Hanley Henderson Gill Deryck Fox David Hobbs Brian Noble Karl Fairbank Roy Powell

Yes,

if you had to pick just one player it would be Ellery Hanley,the most naturally gifted Rugby League player I have ever seen.Back in the day the second team played before the main match and the crowd would get there super early just to watch a young Ellery tear teams apart as a dreadlocked teenager, with Henderson Gill on the wing an ever willing support at Ellery's shoulder.He was a Rugby League prodigy and despite his early trials and tribulations(Cheers Peter Fox)he rose to greatness to win the Golden Boot,the worlds best Rugby League player,named the Black Pearl down under,he was a one off and I feel blessed to have watch him blossom right from his early raw teenage years.
