Well I got thinking about playing the Catalans and remembered Macca was on the phone to Bird giving him all our secret plays and planned moves

If Bird has any brains he will have divulged this information which means the Catalans will know all our moves and plays before we have even played them

No wonder Hood is bitter about the move going through. I don't know if theres time to write a new playbook in a few weeks. Perhaps we will have to deviate from the gameplan and play some off the cuff stuff to confuse those pesky Frenchies, Gauls and Antipdeans

The lucky bit was, he sent him the book but forgot to keep a copy. That's why the players have had to improvise while a new playbook is written. It'll be ready by July-ish.

Secret plays and planned moves? Does that mean we have been saving them all until after the Cats game then?

Deviate from the game plan? Sounds like a good idea to me

But anyway, we've double need to worry: the team has in all probability gone off at a tangent from the gameplans in every game so far, and look what happened. But if this time they FOLLOW the gameplan Bird will have an inside track. So I guess this week's cunning plan is to secretly follow the gameplan, while making it LOOK like we are playing pants by not following it. Simple, really!
