Being the peoples club, what do you, the clubs fans, think should happen on the coaching front?::

Give Macca till the end of the season, theres no point in swapping now given that all the top coaches are signed to clubs

Sack him now, he's destroyed a sucessful team and it should not be tolerated!

Give him another 3 games to turn it around, then make a decision

I'm at the stage where I wouldn't be against seeing a change in the coaching team as things currently stand. But I'd rather the club waited until a credible and experienced option became available. I'm not in favour of sacking the coach and paying out compensation and then being left to pick between a few coaches such as Millward/Harrison who didn't exactly cover themselves in glory at their last clubs.

I personally feel we should begin thinking long and hard about possible options for 2010. Ok it's a gamble because fans will become disheartened if results continue to be poor. But there is no short term miracle answer and we lack an assistant capable of undertaking a caretaker role until the end of the year.

macnamara has destroyed a club that i have followed all my life i have tried to keep my opinions on the terraces. but now i cant do with seeing that man destroy it all because it seems he has completely lost the dressing room the players are not interested sometimes today it was quite embarrasing i thought comic relief was on friday not today...

Whilst I would agree that Nobby signing Harris wasn't the best move, Fielden did leave in Maccas reign. It has to be questioned, why let the following players go if you annot replace them with better players?

Players Out
Michael Withers
Marcus Bai
Ben Harris
Shontayne Hape
Lesley Vainakolo
Iestyn Harris
Joe Vagana
Ian Henderson
Brad Meyers
Chris McKenna
Paul Johnson
Stanley Gene
Brett Ferres
Ryan Atkins
Dave Halley (on loan)
Stuart Fielden

Players in
Nathan McAvoy
Glenn Morrison- Probably best signing
Chris Feather
James Evans
Michael Platt
Tame Tupou
David Solomono
Simon Finnigan
Wayne Godwin
Chris Nero
Ben Jefferies
Paul Sykes
Rikki Sheriffe
Steve Menzies
Michael Worrincy
Nick Scrutton
Semi Tadulala

The players Macca has brought in are no where near the quality that has left since the start of his reign.

I was a big fan of Maccas as a player, but we cannot allow that to cloud our judgement!!! He has to go!!!

Most of the player you state he let go went for numerous reasons and would not have sayed for any coach.

Mick Withers fantatstic as he was, was let go because he was knackered as was proved a correct decision when he had to retire a few months into a 2 year contract with wigan.

Les and Shonny were also too crocked to play RL at the level they were used to play.

Brett Ferres who I used to cheer on was so successful Wakey let him go.

Hendo, Myers, Bai and Ben Harris clearly wanted to go back to Aus. (and did)

Paul Johnson wanted a $HITLOAD OF MONEY WHICH COULD NOT BE JUSTIFIED

Feilden clearly stated he wanted to go!

Stan wanted to see his career out with KR.

So the only 2 he could have kept was I harris who most of the fans thought was ok but not worth the large salary we were paying him.

I would have liked to have kept Ryan Atkins but when he was let go we had two better centres. (I may be wrong but I thought this was under Noble)

So in most of the cases you have cited Mcnamara either made the right decision or had no sway in what the individual players chose to do.

With regards to recruitment, we dont have a great deal of dosh and so he has work in the market for the players we can afford.

It is still early doors this season and it is far from great, but I see no point at all in sacking the coach until we have someone who we feel can really make a difference, not the likes of Mcrae, Harrison and co who have done nothing.
