One thing we do know is that, for good or bad, the size of the bid isn't the defining factor, particularly with the RFL being involved.

The RFL have to give permission [under the fit and proper person rule] for the 'winners' to
renew the club's membership and they are supposedly looking for long term commitment, sustainability and past financial history, rather than just how much in the way of readies they can throw at it. Experience also teaches us that they don't always get it right..

What finances does this party bring to the table? Are you able to name members of the consortium?

If it's true Koukash and this BPA owner were in the run in for the club, I will feel abit let down if we come out of this with the same tight purse!

As I said in the week, there's personal wealth in the new ownership team that can weather storms, pay staff and invest smartly in facilities, the team and our young age grades and they've been blown away by the youth programme which is Greens legacy to give credit where it's due.

Don't think they'll go and sign Sam Tomkin's next week, but we have a club and a future
