He certainly looks like a big strong lad. Hopefully the likes of Gaskell will be on the end of those offloads.

I like that the Aussies we are going for are young, hungry lads that are on the way up, rather than slightly over-the-hill guys who are just looking for a payday

I wonder what this means for Tahraoui. Perhaps we're still going to sign him? Our front row would be pretty huge if we did.

Great signing! Looks an absolute monster. Won't cost a huge wage packet either. Grey work by Jimmy and Ferres. Think we'll sign on more prop.

And James Saltonstall. I'd like to see him given a go. He's a local lad and he looked quick when he had the brief stint with us at the start of the year. A season of playing regularly in the Championship might be just what he needs.

I liked the look of Danny Bridge when he was with us, but I'll admit Jay Pitts is similar and has performed better. I still think Pitts could move up front, certainly ahead of Danny Addy anyway.

I spose I should be happy we've signed one big Karl anyway! (God damn you Pryce, such a waste)

I think with Jimmy at the helm I wouldn't be surprised to see more ex-Wire juniors to follow Shaw - who by all accounts is an excellent goal kicker.

My theory for Thursday was a handful of juniors signed up to first team to follow on from Bates, Brook, Conroy and Mellor. Partly because kids tend to be announced in a batch and it promotes the future of the club, etc.

On the face of it this mornings announcement looks like a good signing.As others have pointed out,young/hungry,with it all still to prove,which is the sort of signings we need.
