Any which way it seems a bloody stupid idea "Lets take the recent issues at Bradford.. and spread them across THE REST OF THE CHAMPIONSHIP!!"

Overspending money they don't have all round!

Budgets and Salary Caps are there for a reason, to hopefully stop the dreadful poop that has befallen us a good number of times now!

Is this meeting still going on? If so, the RFL can't be there.

We all know they don't talk to anyone past 4pm based on the negotiations prior to Christmas!

I meant for the clubs they joined
Obviously there is no cap or quota benefit to us when they leave us!!

But that's a really interesting and for once transparent article so we can see exactly what the new owners are getting into. Makes me doubt they'll be anything of substance from the supposed 4pm meeting if the rfl published this in thw last few mins.

So who would sign up to that given they have only a short time to consider it?

Really makes me think they have already sorted this with a new owner, hope he's a good one

I dont think any club will throw off their previous prudent approach: most will have headroom in their plans for just such an opportunistic addition, it has just happened a bit earlier than usual, and with time for at least some pre-season. Alternatively the sugar daddy of those clubs will fund it. And finally, what about the players? dont they deserve a bit of help finding jobs at this time of the season, or should they have to wait a year?
