Let's have a new start.

Neither do Wood and Sawyer. Well not to play rugby league anyhow.

Haven't posted on here for years but have started reading again for obvious (tragic) reasons. Just a couple of points,

I don't understand the level of opprobrium for Nestegg and Mick. Mick is a fun character and shouldn't be taken too seriously. I've enjoyed Nestegg's posts but don't understand the point of them. Were he and his cohorts to take out a full page ad in the T&A and Weekly/Express making a bold bid for the club with basic details about who they were and their plans for the club with confidential proof of funds provided to the editor, then I think it would be a stark counterpoint to what he and many on here describe as a shameful and mirky years long process to where we are now. I think it would be very difficult for such an approach to be resisted by those he suggests have ulterior motives. At least it would give credence and support for an independent enquiry into this sequence of events which is desperately needed to restore confidence in the provenance of the sport. While they post on message boards - they don't actually exist, except to annoy those who are close to situation.

With regard to the sequence of events mentioned above, it seems Nigel Wood's DNA is spread thick over every one. That he has now come into ownership of the club, which in fairness many have known about for some months (years?) is a shock even to the cynical observer. From the secret loan, the purchase of the lease and dishonest cover story to the repeated tortuous administration/liquidation stories about interested groups ignored - the outright immoral fleecing of Omar Khan (didn't you vote for that and take a share of the money, Daddy Cool?). One group openly accusing Rimmer of lying. I'm sure many on here who've followed this could add a few more incidents. Even the manner in which Steve McNamara applied and was interviewed for the England job while still contracted to the Bulls, thereby precipitating the collapse of our season.

As stated in Totalrl the affair requires an independent enquiry. I think we should support that on this board. I agree with their inference re: Duffy and to be honest I'll struggle to support the club until this mess is investigated and the findings published. In conclusion, it looks corrupt.

Excellent post. Comments re the eggheads noted. As said many times the forum is excellent, and moreover serves as an excellent conduit to the outside world and the alleged bad uns who are still stuck to the club like limpets.

We will all come out of our respective lairs in good time.

Re investigation into what you decribe as corruption, watch this space. We understand that some pro clubs are calling for the same, but they seem to move at such a slow pace its frankly embarrasing. Also apart from the excellent Carto and Hudgo most clubs are still understanably beholden to Rimmer etc.

Where does all this leave the Nestegg consortium? Do you still have plans for a takeover?

The ignore button is a whole new level of stress on this forum, which up until today, I was unaware of. It highlights in yellow the fact the person you are ignoring has posted. I then find myself in a stress inducing mental struggle to not check what they have posted. It's like putting on a sign saying "Do not press this big red button" next to a big red button.

On a lighter note, 40 pages in & I love this post ! Exactly how I have been on different forums.

Surely the new owners can just carry on with Chalmers' plans for a boutique stadium?

They must have been quite far down the road as he was confident of us getting in it after 2 years at Dewsbury.

We don't want to drone on as though we are deluded conspiracy theorists, but we believe, well to be honest we are confident, that the new consortium has no credible plan for a BBS - a Bradford Boutique Stadium. Odsal is there the alleged target, but NOT for the playing of rugby league, but more in accordance with the alleged land grab plan.

When the club - as we predict - allegedly folds around the start of next season, if not sooner, then all the usual excuses will be rolled out from the club and the RFL, for example:

1) We tried our best, but the tide was against us.
2) We could not find any credible and cost effective route back into Odsal/ elsewhere to house the Bulls.
3) The RFL let us down (again).
4) We were in discussions with developers but none came through with the plans and the dosh to house the Bulls, but did have the dosh for something else!.
5) The Wood/Sawyer consortium will allege that Bradford Council let them down.
6) Chalmers so called written off £500k debt proved (as we believe it is) to be a total fallacy.
7) Napoleon's Casino in Leeds and the wider betting betting community suddenly stirred things up ... and some of the Dewsbury backed consortium memberswere not willing to answer related journalist's legitimate questions.
.. Eight) - Sport England messed the Wood/Sawyer consortium around (which our Charles will fully know about).
9) The nestegg scandal re alleged misappropriated funds took us by surprise and the negative press and understandable fans outrage that ensued was too much to bear.
10) The fans didn't come over to Dewsbury in sufficient numbers, so it could in part be the loyal fans' fault !!.
11) The Winding Up Petition Orders arrived and ultimately took us under.
12) Sponsors didn't deliver in sufficient quantity and we did not meet our RFL agreed budget and the club/BB17 was returned to Special Measures, and that was the beginning of the end.
13) etc, etc.

We trust that, apart from 7) above, the more astute forum members get we are coming from.

We may of course be wrong.

p.s.Thank you for the supportive PM's some members have been sending along with helpful new affirmative evidence.

Has anyone in all this actually announced that the deal has gone through and completed, rather than just 'sale agreed'? If it has they're taking their time updating the relevant information with Companies House and also I would have expected the RFL to have made a statement by now but I can't find anything.

It was mentioned at Forum that biggest debt would be paid on Friday and also that biggest creditor was Chalmers. So I'd assume they meant deal finalised tomorrow with chalmers writing off his debt officially as part of deal.

It looks like our 4th column takeover of HKR going well. Bit further than Dewsbury but we're back in SL
