not just rumours, the Fax board said "troubles not of our making" as the reason for sacking Karl Harrison and his assistant yesterday.

Realistically, who would Halifax have that we should be interested in?

Seems a likely scenario. Think naughton a got more potential but would prefer Pitts for level he's at now tbh.

Anyone care to elaborate on what this might mean? Previous board messing up? Sponsors going bust?

But that wasnt my point, it was to clarify the rumours were not rumours but confirmed by the fax board itself. Always had a soft spot for fax ever since working there in the cup days, going into town to do the banking and everywhere fax colours. wonderful. and of course being there that day singing youre not singing any more. It was a sunny evening but that result made it even sunnier.

Jimmy says this morning we had signed GOB but he has now backed out. What a shame as that would have been a big signing and possibly two young halves to build the team around.

Maybe Karl Harrison as second in command? He worked for the Bulls before IIRC, before his move to Salford. He was quite highly regarded back then and his current charges are in the top four so I guess he can coach. Maybe Disko is favourite, though he has no [that I know of] experience, other than taking his badges. Maybe he could serve his apprenticeship under KH and Jimmy? Not sure it's affordable but most clubs seem to run with that kind of coaching pyramid, most are maybe better funded than us, of course.

I had heard a rumour that Tom Clough, the conditioner, was on his way out at the end of the season.

Jimmy doesn't go into details of staff changes in the T&A but does accept that that area needs "freshening up"

yes it is a shame, but jimmy makes it clear that he wants a specific style of half back, so its game plan before personalities, and theres a couple of targets, that presumably fit the bill.
