I too thought Brook and Bates were included after signing professional deals earlier in the year, at least now it's confirmed.

Bottom of the article says Sam Wood is leaving, I'm disappointed in that to be honest. I thought the Championship would be a good way for him to develop at Bradford. Best of luck to him.

Brooks and bates were already signed and announced. Bit of smoke and mirrors from club claiming 4 signings today. It's just two new signings today. Pleased with those two though.

agree with Mat, not quite the 4 I was hoping for, still we need good juniors and have only seen Mellor play and I thought he looked good

its a bit of tidying up of contract end dates to make sure they dont walk away two thirds through a season. Confirmation of Mellor and Conroy a big relief. Oliver Roberts not mentioned, if these are junior players then its likely theres a couple more coming in from elsewhere eg the rumour of a Leeds Academy player Roger was going ask about (tho your lad's probably sworn to secrecy Roger?)

Pleased to have these guys signed up, although it's concerning that Roberts isn't mentioned anywhere. There were rumours about him leaving doing the rounds a few weeks ago, which would be a real kick in the teeth if they turned out to be true.
Mellor looks a real prospect though, I'm looking forward to seeing him develop next season.

You've lost me Martin. How does re-announcing today, contracts for bates and brook that were signed and announced at beginning of June, have any affect on the contract duration?. They signed for 2016 Season. They couldnt walk away two thirds of way through season even if they wanted to, without us agreeing to release them. Think its just a case of club trying to big up announcement a bit to offset Gale departure news TBH.

Brook & bates were originally only on 1 year contracts weren't they?

Very happy wih the news, particularly Mellor who looks the real deal.

Ryan Shaw has signed a 1 year deal for Bulls - Fact! spoke to the lad himself.

delete tidying up dates, probably championship contract. original signing back in early June was two years, but contract status did not come from club, so at that time probably still SL contracts, so in that scenario these two are genuine re-signings on Championship and SL basis.

IIRC they specifically said at time that contracts signed covered both SL and championship as at that point we hadnt yet been relegated.
