When my club didn't exist it was still bigger than yours

Isn't he asking about the council rather than the RFL?

(on a side note, after reading these articles, everyone is claiming we were founded in 1907. Thank you Hood for celebrating The Great Betrayal and making everyone forget this is one of the oldest football clubs of any code anywhere in the world).

My bad. Apologies. Except Bradford Council are less likely than most to lend.

This probably isn't the place for that discussion, but that puddle is (imo) the best thing this council has done in generations.

Still in England, I think, although who knows what the Boundary Commission review will come up with?

From the Bulls website

Bradford Bulls today confirmed the total Pledge figure as £248,486.50 with a total of 1,832 people confirming their Pledge to Donate to save the Club.

Commenting on the latest Pledge figure Bulls Chief Executive Ryan Duckett said

"Due to all the fund raising activities over the weekend we had a backlog of Pledges to process through our system. Not knowing the exact figure and taking into account what we had processed before the weekend, when asked by the media, we estimated that we were approaching the £250,000 mark. We have now processed the backlog and can confirm a figure of £248,486.50 has been Pledged in total from both members and non members as well as supporters from other club's."

Supporters have until 5pm on Friday to confirm their Pledge. The Club will then calculate the total of these Pledges and if this figure, along with other fund raising initiatives and extra income from what we have budgeted for the Leeds game, totals more than £500,000 - people will be asked to donate the amount they have Pledged.

This income would enable the Club to meet some upcoming liabilities including player and staff salaries and a tax bill. Once these liabilities are met the Club would have a month to six weeks to explore other income / investment opportunities including the possibility of a new ownership model.

Duckett said: "I realise these are very uncertain times for all supporters of the Club and would ask any supporter who has not Pledged to do so if at all possible and whatever amount possible. Clearly the Pledge numbers have slowed down over the last few days and we urge all supporters, who have the future of the Club at heart not to take for granted that the Pledge figure will be reached. If the Club is not successful in meeting this first £500,000 target then the future of the Club and its assets are very uncertain.

We have spoken to and shared confidential financial information with one or two interested parties and I think they are watching the Pledge campaign very closely."

The good cop / bad cop act is annoying me, and I'm disposed to give what I can. Are those waiting to be convinced really going to buy this?

Have just pledged.
If we don't make the first 500K there are no guarantees what will happen with Administration. I would prefer to watch super league at Odsal. This may not happen if we go into Administration. The first 500k buys us time to raise the additional funds.
The 248K is what we have in pledges, add to this the actual monies collected over the weekend, the 12K to be raised from the widnes tickets, other funds that people have collected plus the income from Friday, real attendance and Virtual tickets and we should be close to the 500K.

Do not give up
